Day and Night Short Animation Pixar 

This animation is written & directed by Teddy Newton. This Animation is about Day and Night, it shows how the landscape is at day and night. This animation inspired me with the ideas and how the characters has been used. I think its very hard to animate inside the characters. I really like the way the colour scheme has been used. Everything stands out clearly and the story is easy to understand.

Walt Disney's The Old Mill (1937)

This animation is done in 2d. This animation is very interesting and i really like the way it has been set up.The story is interesting it makes the audience to watch it. This animation inspired me the way it uses the weather and how nature has been done. I will be using nature for my Animation by watching this it gave me an idea how to start story boarding .

I have looked at The Umbrellas (French: Les Parapluies) is an oil-on-canvas painting by Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1880.From looking at this painting it gives me an idea how my umbrella will look like.The umbrella i'm going make it will be an old umbrella and it will be coloured in black.

 

Photomontage

Im really inspired by Hannah Hoch because i have been studying her Photomontages when i was in school and it helps me to become with ideas and start story boarding.The Photomontage she creates it give messages and stories. Example of her work

 

 

 

 

In my animation the main character/object will be an Umbrella.To get started i have looked at different types of umbrella. I created photo montage in Photoshop.

 

This is my final Photomontage. First i made a photomontage about shine then I have created another photomontage about rain.Then i have combined both together and made into one piece rain and shine.

This is the background i have made for shine. I was inspired by J. M. W. Turner to come up with my own drawing.I have used oil pastels and also chalk.

I have taken this background to Photoshop and removed the umbrella and created a Sun.

This is the umbrella that i have made in Photoshop.The animation is about the umbrella.The umbrella travels around and goes shine to rain.

Here i have taken the background to Photoshop and darken the background to show its getting darker.

This is the background that i made for rain. I will be adding rain.
